Newborn sessions are done in the comfort of your home around 14 days after baby arrives.  We will schedule a time for me to walk through your house prior to baby's arrival to see where and how we want to do photos.  

This is not going to be a rushed event!  Posed newborn sessions generally take 2-4 hours, but I will stay until we get what we need, so don't stress about feedings and diapering.  Baby's needs always come first.

I will bring my set-up which includes a posing beanbag, backdrop stand, blankets and props.  You are welcome to gather any additional items you would like baby photographed with.  My set-up is pretty small. We will just need about a 4ftx4ft space in front of a window with good light.

This package includes photos of mom with baby, dad with baby and the whole family together. If you have older siblings, we will do our best to get a sibling shot as well. If you have additional family members in town you wish to include, please talk to me about that prior to the session and we will come up with an additional fee. 

TIPS for a Successful NEWBORN Session

• Schedule your session in the morning when baby is fresh
• Keep baby AWAKE for at least one hour prior to the session start time.  We want baby to be nice and tired to get those cute posed photos.  Give them a bath, tickle them, engage with them....whatever you can do to keep them awake until everything is set-up.  I know newborns have their own schedules, but keeping them awake will make the session so so much better.  I promise.  
• Please try to wait and feed baby until after I arrive, while I am setting up my equipment.  A full belly helps keep baby happy and asleep.  
• If you have toddlers or older siblings, think of some fun rewards/treats/incentives for being patient on photo day.  A light and fun environment will give us really sweet family interactions and genuine joy on our siblings faces.
• If you have toddlers, we will try to take sibling photos first - then dad/grandma/aunty can take them out and do something more fun for them than sitting still and smiling.  

You will receive 25 full resolution digital photographs.  You will be able to download them from your personal online gallery.  You will have the opportunity to order prints, canvases or other products from Bay Photo through your online gallery.  However, if you have a printshop you like, you are welcome to take your digitally downloaded images and have them printed there.  I will give you a print release.
